In preparation for this once-a-year opportunity to make changes to your health plans or enroll in an FSA or the DCAP, here are some resources designed to help you successfully navigate the Open Enrollment process:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>Visit the\u00a0<a id=\"OWA2e511d26-95a6-7b95-9649-8a886bac63f7\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/isc.uw.edu\/your-benefits\/oe\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\">Open Enrollment<\/a>\u00a0page<\/b>\u00a0to learn about what changes you can make during Open Enrollment, determine what (if anything) you need to do during Open Enrollment, and find answers to commonly asked questions.<\/li>\n<li><b><a id=\"OWAabadd2ef-3750-7303-0dd9-18dc4d3332a9\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/\/www.hca.wa.gov\/employee-retiree-benefits\/public-employees\/compare-medical-plans__;!!K-Hz7m0Vt54!jXTRZNUsYhKt1SX2-rhPeM_-GpxWKeMdcut1h1KgZDyk1JKviIlb6XSZmSkZVxxOj5yz8pBN1yKC05gc$\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"2\">Compare plan options and costs<\/a>\u00a0<i>now<\/i>, before November 1\u00a0<\/b>\u2013 this is especially important for Kaiser Permanente subscribers, most of whom will experience a\u00a0<i>significant<\/i>\u00a0increase in their premium rates in 2024; employees can change plans during Open Enrollment.<\/li>\n<li><b>Follow along with the\u00a0<a id=\"OWAfd3f2a94-6ad1-046a-c69f-24e4ae00c3ba\" class=\"x_OWAAutoLink\" href=\"https:\/\/isc.uw.edu\/user-guides\/benefits-open-enrollment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"3\">Open Enrollment User Guide<\/a><\/b>\u00a0<b>while making changes in Workday<\/b>\u00a0to help avoid common mistakes and errors that might result in you not getting the benefits you want.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b><i>If you do not want or need to make Open Enrollment changes:<\/i><\/b><i>\u00a0you can simply disregard the \u201cOpen Enrollment\u201d action item found on your Workday homepage and in your Workday inbox (also known as My Tasks) \u2013 it will disappear from your Workday account on December 1, after Open Enrollment ends.<\/i><br aria-hidden=\"true\" \/><br aria-hidden=\"true\" \/><b>Plan ahead:<\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure to submit your Open Enrollment changes\u00a0<b><i>as early as possible<\/i><\/b>\u00a0\u2013 this allows the ISC and UWHR Benefits Specialists enough time to reach you with questions or requests for additional information well before the November 30 deadline.<\/li>\n<li>Like most departments on campus, the ISC is closed on holidays and weekends, including during the long holiday weekend, November 23-26. If you think you\u2019ll want assistance while making your Open Enrollment changes in Workday,\u00a0<b><i>we recommend contacting the ISC before 4:00 pm on Wednesday, November 22<\/i><\/b>.
