About the Awards
The UW Electrical & Computer Engineering Awards program recognizes outstanding efforts by its students, faculty, staff, alumni and industry partners. Award recipients represent exceptional achievements; embody UW ECE core values such as leadership, collaboration, and teamwork; and foster diversity, equity, and inclusion. Awardees will be honored at the UW ECE Awards Celebration on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. in the Paul Allen Atrium outside the UW ECE Main Office.
Nomination Process
Nominations close at 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 1.

| Yang Award for Outstanding Doctoral Student | Recognizes a UW ECE doctoral student in their final year of study who has conducted outstanding research in the field of electrical and computer engineering, as evidenced by their publications or recognized by outside researchers in their field.
** The top three finalists for the Yang award are required to give a research presentation to the selection committee. ** |

Alumni, industry capstone members, and advisory board members are also welcome to submit nominations. Self nomination is not allowed for this award. |
