The Electrical Engineering Executive Committee (EEExcom) shall act as the “advisory appointment committee” [Section 24-52, UW Faculty Code] for the following non-voting faculty titles ONLY: adjunct faculty, affiliate faculty, teaching associates, visiting faculty, visiting scholars, research associates, and part-time faculty. The voting faculty as a whole shall continue to serve as the “advisory appointment committee” for all voting faculty appointments, in particular tenure-line, WOT, and research faculty positions.
[Note: There expectation is that the Executive Committee will consult with the overall faculty for adjunct & affiliate appointments and for any other appointments that the committee deems to be potentially controversial.]
