About remote access to the VLSI/IS Linux Lab:
This year, in addition to VNC (what we’ve supported in the past), we’re supporting RDP. Please give it a try! It’s simpler to set up, more secure, and more responsive than VNC.
Instructions are here – https://peden.ece.uw.edu/computing/linux-lab-remote-access-rdp/
VNC will still be available in our lab, but all the major Linux distributions seem to be moving towards RDP… so odds are VNC access will get less and less workable and will eventually be phased out completely.
If you have any questions, please help@ece.uw.edu. Thank you!
P.S. Welcome back to another school year!
