Computing News and Announcements
May 2, 2026 6:10pm
We need to apply an important update to the academic Linux workstations. We have scheduled this for the first part of Wednesday, May 6 – so the machines will be unavailable after 11:59pm on Tuesday, May 5. Assuming there are no complications, you should be able to resume your work by noon on Wednesday.
Since this will involve at least one reboot (for all workstations PLUS the file server), please be sure any processes you’re running are finished – and your data saved – before 11:59pm on Tuesday.
Thank you for your understanding and patience.
Please send any questions or comments to help@ece.uw.edu.
